Novartis responds to the earthquake in Pakistan

October 20, 2005 - As an immediate response to the earthquake in the northern areas of Pakistan, Novartis has made initial donations of more than $ 400,000 to the President’s Relief Funds, additional financial support to other relief organizations as well as provided access to critical medicine. Employees in Pakistan voluntarily donated 3-days salary to the relief efforts, with the company matching employee contributions rupee for rupee.

Currently, Novartis is evaluating how the company could provide further help through international relief organizations by providing additional medicine.
