Managing corporate citizenship

10th Community Partnership Day on April 27, 2006 – Save the Date

Created to celebrate the founding of Novartis in 1996 the Community Partnership Day (CPD) will take place for the 10th time this year.

February 15, 2006 - We can look back on the past years with pride and say that this event has always been a success. The number of Novartis employees participating worldwide has increased steadily, reaching more than 9 000 in 2005.

Community Partnership Day is a powerful component of our Corporate Citizenship program and contributes to our aspiration to be a company that cares for its local community and takes its social responsibility seriously. As such, it presents a unique opportunity for all employees to show their personal commitment to Corporate Citizenship by helping other people.

Each year, activities are planned in close collaboration with the institutions they are intended to benefit. The CPD organizers carefully select projects which result in real added value for the beneficiary and encourage personal contact with the local community.

Community Partnership Day is an uplifting experience for the people who take part, as well as for the community. It is an opportunity to work together, to learn about each other and to share experiences. Such an initiative requires support. This is why all Novartis associates are invited to volunteer to demonstrate corporate citizenship in action.
