Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a multi-stakeholder process that aims to develop a common global framework for “sustainability reporting”.
The objective is to elevate sustainability reporting to the same level of rigor and credibility expected of financial reporting.
The 2008 Novartis GRI report uses the GRI G3 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines at an application level of A+, checked and confirmed by the GRI.
