Minimizing impacts

Novartis strives to make efficient use of natural resources and to minimize the environmental impact of our activities and products over their life cycles. We assess the environmental impacts of new products, processes and applied technologies to ensure that the benefits outweigh risks. We periodically review such assessments in light of new concerns or evidence.
